   Wife Of Popular D.J. Passes After Illness

Mrs. Antoinette Ben- nett Daley passed Monday after a lengthy illness. She was at St. Joseph’s Hospital, surrounded by family at the time of her passing.
She was the wife of popu- lar DJ Rodrick “Rock-It- Rod” Daley.
A Tampa native, Mrs. Daley, 55, attended the pub- lic schools of Hillsborough County. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1981. Following graduation, Mrs. Daley earned a degree in medical billing.
After completing that training, Mrs. Daley en- tered the education field, where she became a Regis- trar. She worked in that field for several years. At the time of her passing, Mrs. Daley was employed at Ultimate Medical Academy, her hus- band said.
In 1995, Mrs. Daley met the love of her life, Rodrick “Rock-It-Rod” Daley. The couple married that same year and remained together until her death. “She was beautiful, she was just beau- tiful,” he said.
She was a longtime mem- ber of Brown’s Memorial

Church Of God In Christ, where she sang in the choir and served as a Greeter. In her spare time, she loved spending time with her fam- ily and shopping, her hus- band said.
Mrs. Daley was the daughter of Mrs. Katie Bennett and Jerry Ben- nett, Sr. She was the mother of one son, Demetrious Williams. She also has 4 godchildren, numerous sib- lings, other family members and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Daley will be held on Satur- day, December 22nd, at Brown’s Memorial COGIC. Ray Williams Funeral Home is in charge of handling arrangements.
