Sistah’s Picnic In The Park
Saturday, May 14, 2016 the Red Hatters had a fun picnic at the Veteran’s Me- morial Park, 3602 Highway 301, Tampa, from 10 a. m. -2 p. m. We had a scavenger hunt for items, drawing for prizes, and some brothers to fire up the grill and cook hot dogs, hamburgers, and chicken wings. We had appe- tizers of fresh fruit in can- taloupe, honeydew and watermelon balls. The meal was delicious and topped off with cupcakes.
The next event will be in June at the Bahama Breeze at Brandon Town Center Mall.
Soul Kafe
Come out and join the community in fun, skits, jokes, testimonies, a special word, and music on the 4th Friday and Saturday of each month.
Fridays are for teen turn- up and Saturdays are for the
adults. Comments have been outstanding! The place has been full to the max standing room only. Location is on Flower Avenue and 78th Street in the Progress Village Strip Plaza from 7-10 p. m.

Every 3rd Saturday of the month, clothes and more are given free by First Baptist Church of Progress Village on 86th Street in Progress Vil- lage under the shelter at the little park.

Ms. Dorothy Langston
lost her 2-story home and everything in it because of a fire on Mother’s Day. She was living with her two daughters and 6 grand daughters (ages 8 months, 21 months, 5 - year-old, 7-year-old, 13-year- old and 14-year-old).
She said she is not worried about herself, but if she could get some help for the chil- dren she would greatly ap- preciate it. She needs pampers (size 3 and 4), shoes, clothes, underwear, and socks for the girls.
Presently she is living with her son and his wife. She says she still needs a place to call her own again!
