Homegoing Service for Mr. Walter A. Fitzgerald of Tampa, who passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015, will be held Wednesday, December 23rd at 10 a. m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Antonio Hawkins, offici- ating. The interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
Walter was born November 12, 1928 in Merlin, Texas, to the late Walter and Louise Fitzgerald.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was honorably discharged.
Walter was preceded in death by: his daughter, Latoya Fitzgerald; and sisters, Zella Mae Thomas and Louise Mitchell.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and de- voted wife, Viola Fitzgerald; children, Alonso, Sr. (Joann), Raymond, Walter, and Damion Fitzgerald (Lakeisha), Rene Harper (Gregory), Kelvin Halyard, Julius, Jr., Julia and Ray Anthony Halyard and Tronya Glover; grandchildren, Alfreida, Alonzo, III (Katrella), Raymond, Jr., Quinton, Tevin, Rayeshonda and Damion, Jr. Fitzgerald, Donyell, Tobias and Blias Harper, Echaniz, Jer- maine, Ray, Jr., Mark, Echera, Jason and Jamika Halyard, Louis Hill, Viola Smith (Sha- heed), Vickie Love (Jawan), Thomas Jennings, Raashad Johnson, Jai-erria, Jai-marra and Jai-anah Halyard and Alexandra Benson; great grandchildren, Atravius, Faith, Jaquan, Zanon, Tasian, Ray- mond, III, Alani, Zay-vion and Raymond Fitzgerald, V’Raiah and Varius Turner, Ja’leah Love, Rivion Halyard, Lauren Hill, Noah Halyard, Jaberri and Zariah Johnson; nieces, Melody Evans, Teresa Bynum, Michelle Jacobs (Shannon), Willamena Johnson (James), and Sabrina and Amelia Evans; nephews, Demetrius, Sr. and Demetrius, Jr. Mitchell, Michael (Brenda), and William (Alice) Evans; godchildren, Shonda Green, Charmyne James, Doy and Doynicia James and Kenna Williams; special friends, John and Leola Green, Evans family, Rev. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Tues- day, December 22nd from 4-6 p. m. The family will receive friends from 5-6 p. m.
The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Wednesday for the service.
MRS. CARRIE LEE NURSE
Homegoing celebration for Mrs. Carrie Lee Nurse of Tampa, who passed away Wednesday December 16, 2015, at a local healthcare fa- cility, will be held Wednesday December 23, 2015, at Bethel A. M. E. Church, 5001 E. Cum- berland, Tampa, at 11 a. m. Rev. Bobby Jacobs, pastor, of- ficiating. Interment Rest Haven Memorial Cemetery.
Carrie Lee Nurse was born on March 22, 1932 in Cotton- dale, FL, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Lilton (Connie) Long, Sr. She attended elementary school in Cottondale.
She moved to Tampa and at- tended public schools in Hills- borough County and graduated from Middleton Senior High School. She at- tended FAMU and graduate with her BA in Education. She taught at various schools in Hillsborough County for 30 years before retiring.
She was a member of Bethel A. M. E. Church, serving as a stewardess until her health started failing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, father, Lilton Long, Sr. and mother, Connie Long.
Carrie Lee Nurse leaves to cherish her precious memo- ries: children, son, Dwayne Nurse, Sr. (Andreatha), and daughter, Shelia Moore; grandchildren, Dwayne Nurse, Jr. (Willieanne), Marcus Jack- son, Jaylyne Stubbs, Quincy Tyson and Tamiyah Nurse; great grandchildren, Zion, Madison and Carter; brother, Littleton Long, Jr. (Kay); sis- ter, Marshanna Long; nephews, Michael Long (Gia), and niece, Satura Long Thomas (Otis); special cousin, Mildred Hollins; devoted friend, Annette Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other sorrowing family and friends.
The visitation will be held at Jackson Funeral Home, 4605 34th Street, Tampa on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 5-7 p. m.
Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 10:45 a. m. for the funeral service.

MS. PATRICIA ELLIS SPENCER
Homegoing celebration for Ms. Patricia Ellis Spencer, 78, of Tampa, who passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015, will be held on Tuesday, De- cember 22, 2015, at 11 a. m. at Beulah Baptist Institutional Baptist Church, 1006 W. Cy- press Street, Tampa, Rev. Dr. W. James Favorite, pastor, with a local pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Or- ange Hill Cemetery.
Ms. Spencer is survived by: children, Patricia Spencer, Douglas Spencer, and Wilfred Spencer and wife, April; grandchildren, Kandace Spencer, Brandon and Brea Spencer, Donta Spencer and Tambre Spencer; stepdaugh- ter, Brittany Key; stepson, Damien Key; sisters, Velma Fry and Thelma Ward; and a host of other sorrowing rela- tives and friends.
A native of Montgomery, Al- abama, Ms. Spencer resided in the Tampa area for many years. She was the Secretary of the NAACP, Hillsborough County Chapter for a number of years.
There will be a viewing on Monday, December 21, 2015, from 5-8 p. m. at Wilson Fu- neral Home, with the family present to receive friends.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday December 22, 2015, 1 hour prior to the funeral from 10-11 a. m. at Beulah Baptist Institutional Baptist Church.
Friends are asked to assem- ble at the church at approxi- mately 10:45 a. m., Tuesday for the service.
