The second annual
Tampa Heights Cultural Festival: A Juneteenth Cele- bration, will take place on Saturday, June 11, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The free event will be hosted by the Tampa Heights Junior Civic Association (THJCA), a non-profit or- ganization dedicated to the Tampa Heights area.
The festival aims to bring pride and knowledge about the Tampa Heights neigh- borhood and convey the im- portance of Juneteenth to Tampa Heights youngsters.
The THJCA has many programs that provide life
skills for children, including after school youth develop- ment, in-school support and summer enrichment pro- grams.
The organization also acts as a community liaison
to link children and their families to other resources in the city. Mentorship is en- couraged, along with tutor- ing in and out of school. Training in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and
STEM/-STEAM workshops are available.
Proceeds from sponsor- ships, parking, vendor fees will go back into THJCA pro- grams.

Blake High Class Of ’67 Invites You To Come Bowl
The Blake High School Class of ’67 gets together every first and third Wednes- day at 11 a.m. to bowl.
The class would like to in- vite all other classes of high schools in Tampa, especially Blake and Middleton High Schools to join them. The Alumni are requesting partic- ipants to be aged 55 and older.
The group meets at Bran- don Crossroads Bowl, located to 609 Crater Lane, Tampa, FL 33619.
