Tom Brady Talks About
Bucs Agree To 1-Year
Decision-Making Process
Deal With Pro Bowl
For Retirement, Return
DL Akiem Hicks
When Tampa Bay Bucca- neers quarterback Tom Brady announced his retire- ment after 22 NFL seasons earlier this year, it wasn’t a huge surprise, but there were plenty of folks who weren’t convinced the GOAT was 100 percent ready to hang up his cleats.
“Partly, you know, yes,” Brady said. “And I think when you’re their (Ma- homes and Allen’s) age, if you were to ask me ‘Are you going to play football next year?’ I would say there’s a hundred percent chance I’m playing. And I think as I’ve gotten older, that’s changed because I have other respon- sibilities.
“So the responsibilities are many people taking care of me and things that I have off the field that are really im- portant to me like my family, my kids, my wife’s done an amazing job of that,” Brady continued. “That’s a big com- mitment from her, so it’s harder when you get older. I don’t even think they know what’s coming. Aaron (Rodgers) knows these

things because your life gets bigger as we all do, our life gets more full, there’s more responsibilities.”
Tom Brady Says This Hall of Famer Is The Best Defensive Back He's Ever Faced
Future NFL Hall of Famer Tom Brady has faced plenty of talented defensive backs over his career. Brady faced Charles Woodson, Rod Woodson and Aeneas Williams and a number of other standout players.
Of all those big names, there's one defensive back that really made an impact on
ED REED
Brady. That would be Balti- more Ravens safety Ed Reed, who Brady named as the toughest defensive back he faced during his career.
The Tampa Bay Bucca- neers have added another well-known veteran to their already stacked roster, agree- ing to a one-year deal with free agent defensive lineman Akiem Hicks.
Hicks, who was a Pro Bowler in 2018, can make up to $10 million this season, according to Schefter.
A third-round pick in 2012, Hicks is 32-years-old, and has 40.5 career sacks. Durability will be the biggest question mark for Hicks,

Frank Gore Signs 1-Day Contract With NFL Team
Salutes Newly
Frank Gore is not going to play in the NFL in 2022, but the former Pro Bowl run- ning back is still signing with a team.
Retired Ryan
Fitzpatrick
Gore will sign a one-day contract with the San Fran- cisco 49ers on Thursday, ac- cording to Cam Inman of Bay Area News Group. That will allow him to retire as a member of the organization, which is something that he re- cently said is important to
CHAD JOHNSON AND RYAN FITZPATRICK
Ryan Fitzpatrick will go down as one of the best jour- neyman / backup quarter- backs in NFL history. Fitzpatrick announced his retirement this week after 17 seasons in the league with nine different stops along the way.
One of those stops was with the Cincinnati Bengals, his second team after spending the first two seasons of his ca- reer in St. Louis.
Fitzpatrick spent two years in Cincinnati, including 12 starts in 2008 in place of the injured Carson Palmer. That allowed him to work with one of the greats in Bengals history, Chad Johnson.
Johnson showed Fitz- patrick love on Twitter after his retirement announcement.
Along with the Rams and Bengals, Fitzpatrick made stops with the Bills, Titans, Texans, Jets, Buccaneers, Dol- phins and Washington.
Deshaun Watson Lawsuit
Claims He Offered Each
Accuser $100K To Settle
Their Civil Cases
Deshaun Watson of- fered a $100,000 settlement figure to each of the 22 women who filed civil law- suits against him last spring, according to the most recent litigation brought against him this week.
Attorney Tony Buzbee made the claim in the 23rd civil suit filed against Wat- son on Tuesday, in a footnote pertaining to a meeting between Watson’s defense attorneys and Nia Smith, the Houston cosmetologist who has brought the most recent litigation against the Cleve- land Browns quarterback.
In the lawsuit, Buzbee claims that during a meeting
DESHAUN WATSON
in which Smith believed Watson’s lawyers were try- ing to “intimidate” her, they said they planned to “fight the [civil] cases to the fullest ex- tent.” Buzbee added a nota- tion to that line, which alleged that Watson instead had at- tempted to settle the suits out of court.
