AIKENS
MR. KENNETH LEONARD ROACH
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Kenneth Leonard Roach, of Tampa, FL., who passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022, will be held on Sunday, June 12th, 1:00 p.m., at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Danny Osborne, of- ficiating.
Kenneth, affectionately nick- named “KP”, was born on June 17, 1966, in Brooksville, Florida, to Green Tarver and Willie Jean Roach. Kenny loved his cold beer, a Newport, and spending time joking and laughing with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Green Tarver; uncle, John “Sonny” Wright, Sr.; cousins, Aileen, and Jerome; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins that were called home be- fore Kenneth, but live on in our hearts.
He leaves precious memories with: his mother, Willie Jean Roach; brothers, Anthony Roach (Tineisa), and Johnathan Yopp; aunts, Jurleen Jones, Arnetha Smith, and Marlet Felton; uncle, Danzy Wright; nieces, Alexxus Roach, Precious Jones, and Ter- merical Curry; nephews, Leeon- dre Black, and Kyan Houston; cousins, Perry, Jr., Darius, Cheryl, Paula, Camlee, Nicole, Aaron, Jill, Deon, Lee, Brian, Martin, Kevin, Sheryl, John “Face”, Katrina, Leando “Sonny Boy”, Laqora “Net”, TiTi, Marvin, Marquisha, Marquez, Lady, Dar- ryl, and a host of others.
Kenny had a host of family and friends that loved and adored him. To name them all is an im- possible feat. To all those who were not mentioned, please know that you are in our hearts.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Sunday, June 12th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home on Sunday for the service. The repast will immediately follow the funeral.

MRS. VERNELL MONTFORT MCBRIDE
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Vernell Montfort McBride, who passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022, will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 1 p.m., at New Bethel Progressive Missionary Baptist Church 2914 E. North Bay St., Tampa, FL, 33610 Pastor Regi- nald T. Webb officiating. Inter- ment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Vernell was born on December 19, 1930, in Vienna, Georgia. Ver- nell was married to her loving hus- band, Elliott McBride, Senior, for 64 years until his death in 2008.
Mrs. McBride was a faithful member of New Bethel Progressive Missionary Baptist Church for over 60 years. She was vice president of mission No. 2; Treasurer and a member of the Gospel Voices of Praise.
She was a seamstress for Sun- state and Gator of Florida Garment factories. Vernell enjoyed cooking sewing word search puzzles and family gatherings. She was a de- voted mother.
Sister Vernell McBride was preceded in death by: her husband, Elliott McBride, Senior; her par- ents, Henry and Nancy Montfort; stepson, Elder Elliott McBride; sis- ters, Henry Mae Glenn, Nancy Mae Farrington, Effie Bell Bradford, and Marie Robinson; 1 brother, JD Montfort; aunts, Annie Mae Williams and Drucilla White; uncle, Ira Heath and a host of nieces and nephews.
She leaves to cherish her mem- ory: a devoted daughter Zina L McBride; a loving grandson, Ver- non R. Lee, Sr., (Juanita); great grandchildren, Brionna, Vernon, Jr., Nevaeh and Elliott Lee; niece (like a daughter), Elaine Johnson; Trellie Irving, Valeria Wade, Den- nis Anderson (Angie) and Cordy Glenn; Rodney Willis, Joe and Charles Farrington, Isaiah Far- rington (Lucille) Mark Willis (Stephenia), Lugenia Bogle, JoAnn and Debbie Robinson; a devoted nephew Ronnie McBride, and fam- ily; A host of other nieces and nephews; special friends Gloria Davis, Pauline McWilliams, Esther Erving, Murline Wright, the Owens family and the New Bethel Primi- tive Baptist Church family and other sorrowing relatives neigh- bors and friends.
Visitation for Mrs. Vernell McBride will be held this Friday evening June 10, 2022, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Harmon Funeral Home 5002 N 40th Street Tampa, Florida 33610. Friends planning to attend the homegoing service are asked to arrive at 12:45 p.m.

MS. SHANITRA TISKISQUE’ SMITH
Ms. Shanitra Tiskisqué Smith passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 2 p.m., at Harmon Funeral Home 5002 N. 40th St., Tampa with Min- ister Charlie Green officiating.
Shanitra loved her family was and was very devoted to her daugh- ter, Cierra Shatrell Smith Stevens; son, Cameron or Ryan Miller; daughter, Erica Smith and grand- son, Jahesh D Saunders.
Shanitra was preceded in death by: her grandmother, Mrs. Mary Ann Didley, and brother, Mr. Eric Antwan Johnson as well as her great grandmother Mrs. Marie Green.
Shanitra Smith leaves to cele- brate and cherish her life of love and memories with: daughter, Cierra; son, Cameron; father, Mr. Dion Hank Smith ; devoted aunt, Ms. Sheila Young. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of aunts, uncles; many cousins and friends.

MR. JOHNNY LEE NEVES
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Johnny Lee Neves, of Tampa FL., who passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022, will be held on Sat- urday, June 11th, 10:00 a.m., at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. The interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Johnny was born on January 20, 1964, in Tampa, Florida, to Edmond Neves, Sr., and Anna Laura Neves. He was one of 8 children, there were 4 boys and 4 girls.
Mr. Johnny Lee Neves at- tended the schools of Hillsbor- ough County in Tampa, Florida. He was a devoted brother and uncle to several nieces and nephews. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
His favorite activities were basketball, football, music, and cookouts with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Lorenzo Neves, Edmond Neves, Jr., and Eddie James Neves.
He leaves precious memories with: his sisters, Veronica Neves- Harrell, Sylvia Joyce Neves, Vanessa Diane Neves, and Joyce Ann Neves; aunts, Willie Agnes Burton, and Joanna Fair (Ronald); nieces, Collette Neves, Sabrina Harrell (Ahmad), Akilah Neves, Brittany Boothe, Dynasty Thomas, and Precious Brown; nephews, Carlton Cord, Ricky Cord, William Louis Harrell, An- thony Neves, Antonio Williams, Jr., Antwaun Williams, Aaron Williams, Tavaris Sanders, Dar- rell Thomas, Jr., Delray Thomas, and Chai Lee; cousins, Margaret O’Neal, and Cynthia Taylor; and a host of special friends, William Golden, Renard Dooley, and Shirley Strange.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, June 10th, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home on Saturday for the service. The repast will immediately follow after the funeral.

MRS. MARY ELIZABETH LOUIS
A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Louis, of Tampa, FL., who passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022, will be held on Sat- urday, June 11th, 11:00 a.m., at Life in Christ Community Church, 9706 N 26th St., Tampa, FL 33612, Bishop Gary Williams, officiating.
Mary was born on January 17, 1962, in Tampa, Florida, to the union of the late Gus Davis and Lil- lie Mae Davis. During Mary’s early years, her family would travel back and forth to their hometown of Marianna, Florida. Mary received her education through the Hills- borough County public school sys- tem, where she graduated from Middleton High school in 1983.
After graduation, she followed in the footsteps of her mother and became a CNA. She worked at Su Casa Nursing Home until retire- ment. Mary lived a full and vibrant life and was the life of the party. She used her faith to encourage every individual that crossed her path. Mary would sit on the porch and people would flock to her for guidance. No matter her residence, Mary was viewed as the neighbor- hood “mom” or “auntie.” She loved to cook, spend time with family, and take care of people’s children.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Gus Davis; sister, Lola Davis; brother, Willie Mitchell; nephew, Job Warren; and godson, Keontae Golden.
Mary leaves to cherish wonder- ful memories with: her loving mother, Lillie Mae Davis; daugh- ter, Felicia Williams (Vaughn, Sr.); grandchildren, also referred to as ‘her boys,’ Vaughn Williams, Jr., (Crislia), Dymunte’ Williams, Freddrick Williams, and Caleb Williams; cousins, also referred to as ‘her other boys’, Emery Godwin, and Trever Godwin; brothers, An- thony Morrell, Lester Davis (Wanda), and Robert Davis; sister, Jackie Bolds; aunts, Mildred God- win, Leavern Godwin, Gloria Ster- rex, and Margie Day; uncle, Robert Godwin (Linda); nieces, Carolyn Flowers (Vender), Khadeejah Williams (Jamal), Sylvia Coleman, Le’shauna Davis, and Jada Davis; nephews, David Williams, Jr., (Kasey), Akeem Davis (Kiara), Christian Davis, Darrell Chaney, and Javario Bolds; great nephews, Justin Moore, Bryan Ross, Bran- don Williams, and Tyler Murray; great niece, Amari Williams; de- voted friends, Laura Willis, and Tina Freeman; and special family, Tanya Patrick, and Early Coleman. Mary also leaves a sorrowing host of family, friends, and special min- isters.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, June 10th, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to wear purple or blue to the church on Saturday for the service. We are following CDC guidelines.
