peacocky. It's boastful, espe- cially when he does his very preppy Southern thing as a Southern guy.
"But for the most part it's pretty good. Everything fits good. He wears a suit better than any football player in the league."
For the 11th time in the his- tory of the franchise, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are naming a new head coach.
Only 9 days after firing two- year head coach, Lovie Smith, the Bucs have named offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter to lead the team.
The selection of Koetter was made primarily due to his asso- ciation with quarterback Jameis Winston, and by keeping Koetter, the Bucs won’t be forcing Winston to learn a new system.
Last season was Koetter’s first year with the team, after spending the past 8 seasons as the offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons and Jack- sonville Jaguars.

Suspected Suicide
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- If you think Carolina Panthers quar- terback Cam Newton is unique on the field, with his ability to beat teams with his arm and his legs, you should see him during his postgame interviews.
From his fitted tuxedo jack- ets and carnations to the some- times sequin-studded slippers to the occasional foxtail key chain, Newton's outfits make just as big of a statement as his spectacular moves.
Let Mark Anthony Green, the "Style Guy" from GQ Magazine, explain.
"Cam's style is a lot like his style of play," Green told ESPN.com. "I know that seems a little cliché, but it really, re- ally is. It's brash. It's a little

Lawrence Phillips, an im- prisoned former NFL running back who was awaiting trial on charges of killing his cellmate last year, died Wednesday morning after being found un- responsive in his prison cell, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said.
The death of Phillips, 40, is being investigated as a suicide, the department said.
Phillips was a star running back at Nebraska and a first- round pick for the St. Louis Rams in 1996, but lasted in the NFL only three seasons.
He was sent to a California prison in 2008 after being con- victed of domestic violence, false imprisonment and vehicle theft charges.
While serving a 31-year sen- tence, authorities said, he killed his cellmate in April of last year. A trial for that killing was upcoming in Kern County, Cal- ifornia.
Cam Newton’s girlfriend Kia gave birth to a son, the cou- ple’s first child, Christmas Eve. Cam and girlfriend Kia Proc- tor have chosen the name... Chosen, for their son.
Turns out that his “rock the cradle” touchdown dance was a direct reference to this. While Newton wouldn’t comment on this touchdown dance at the time, he know explains that he didn’t want to take any atten- tion away from his team.
Cam Newton’s girlfriend is alledgedly a former stripper. These days, she goes by the nickname Kia (which is short for Shakia Proctor). In her former life as a stripper. She worked for the famous Wash- ington DC Stadium Club.
Kia has done plenty of mod- eling work for a day job, and ap- pears to be making a career of it.

The Tampa Bay Rays can now start looking for a stadium site out of St. Petersburg – in Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties.
The St. Petersburg City Council passed an agreement in a 5-3 vote in a debate that di- vided the Council and both sides of the Bay for years.
The approved deal is differ- ent from the first two meetings with the Council.
If the team stays at Tropicana Field through their 2027 con- tract, they’ll get half of the pro- ceeds from any redevelopment on the 85-acre Tropicana Field site.
Otherwise, the team will have to pay the city up to $24 million in penalties, depending when they break the contract.
The Rays won’t say if they’re looking at a particular site or how much taxpayers may have to bring to the plate.
Over the next two months the Rays will lay out for the city ex- actly what they’ll be looking for in a new stadium site. They must give St. Petersburg six months to make its pitch why

the team should stay put. "Major League Baseball ap- preciates this step forward taken by the St. Petersburg City Council and remains fully sup- portive of (Rays owner) Stu Sternberg's vision to bring this stadium process to conclu- sion," Major League Baseball said in a statement. "Mr. Stern- berg's patience and persistence throughout the franchise's long-standing efforts have il- lustrated his commitment to the fans of the region. We look forward to further progress in the weeks and months ahead as the Rays strive to ensure the fu- ture of the franchise with a first-class ballpark in the re-
gion."

unknown Kia sent the internet to work to learn more.
At one point there were ru- mors swirling that the couple might no longer be together. This was based on the subject and tone of a DM Tweet that Cam sent to LA Radio person- ality, Promise B Mae. That story remained relatively quiet and may have been genuinely friendly in nature.
Cam and girlfriend, Kia have also been spotted in per- son many times since then.
