Jazz In Waterworks Park Hosted By Black Heritage Festival Was Huge Success
It was Sunday, Mother’s Day, when the Tampa Bay Black Heritage Festival hosted saxophonist David Sanborn and Ben Tankard at the Cur- tis Hixon Waterfront Park. The event was termed a success.
Originally scheduled in January during the Festival’s 17th annual ten-day celebration, the Sunday event had to be rescheduled due to unsafe winds and weather conditions. But the Festival Committee vowed that they would bring Sanborn back. They did. This time the weather was very cooper- ative – loads of sunshine and a nice breeze. (Photos by Frederick Harris)
