Couple Arrested After Standoff
A Riverview couple was arrested after a standoff with Hillsborough County Sher- iff’s Office SWAT team and crisis negotiators last Wednesday.
Deputies received a call at 10 a.m. about a disturbance at 12702 Darla Drive involv- ing a man armed with a gun, who was beating a woman. When there was no response at the door, additional units set up a perimeter.
Several messages for the occupants to leave the house were unsuccessful, so the

Petway is being held on $13,500 bail on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and aggravated as- sault with a deadly weapon. Mendoza is being held on $5,000 bail on charges of vi- olation of probation for petit theft and failure to appear.
