New Hope M. B. Church Celebrated Its 65th Anniversary
New Hope Missionary Baptist Church held its 65th Church anniversary recently with spiritual services, followed by a sumptuous meal. (Photos by Julia Jackson)
Tampa’s Mayor Bob Buckhorn presented a Proclamation from the City of Tampa and the City Council to Pastor T. W. Jenkins in observance of the church’s 65th Anniversary.

Officers of the National Baptist Convention of America Interna- tional, Inc. who attended the anniversary celebration included: Rev. S. C. Dixon, General Secretary, speaker; Dr. Barbara Wright, Presi- dent, Senior Women’s Missionary Union; and Rev. Bart Banks, Pres- ident, Progressive M&E State Convention of Florida, Inc., and Vice-President At Large, National Baptist.
Dorine Norman received a plaque from Pastor Jenkins.
One of the young people in attendance was Caribe King.
Johnny Banks arrived for the service.
Leroy Mack received a token of appreciation.
Program participant Corey McFadden and Deacon Oscar and Juanita Young are in the background.
These gentlemen in attendance are: Ernest Brown, Edward Jackson, Nat Powell and Clarence Black.
