J. Cole To Step Away From Canadian Basketball League
Rapper FBG Cash, 31, Reportedly Dead In Chicago Shooting
It looks like J. Cole isn’t going to be with the Scarborough Shooting Stars of the Canadian Elite Basketball League as he’s reportedly stepping away from the hardwood to return to his musical career.
On Wednesday (June 8), the North Carolina rapper-turned Canadian basketball player spoke with reporter Savanna Hamilton about his experience with the team and why he has to step away.
“I was telling the guys in there like, ‘I’m going for these shows, I’m not sure if I’ll be back,’” he said. “But just in case, I had to let them know how incredible this was. The players, the coach- ing staff, the organization, the

league. It’s a crazy thing when you see it on paper, what’s actu- ally happening. And they made me feel so welcome, really feel- ing like a part of a team.”
ABC7 Chicago reported that police had responded to a shooting that occurred ear- lier that morning, involving the 31-year-old rapper, whose real name is Tristian Hamilton, according to the Cook County Bureau of Ad- ministration.
A man and a woman were inside their vehicle when the unknown offender pulled up in a black four-door sedan, got out and opened fire at the vic- tims before jumping back into their car.

Lil Wayne Cancels Another Concert At Last Minute
Lil Wayne canceled his performance at the Governor's Ball in New York City on Fri- day, just hours before he was scheduled to perform. The rap- per had canceled another high- profile performance just a month beforehand in Mem- phis, Tennessee. If that weren't enough, his NYC performance was a last-minute replacement for the original headliner, Migos.
The organizers of The Gover- nor's Ball announced that Lil Wayne was dropping out of the show on Friday afternoon just before 5 p.m. ET. The rea- son given was "flight disrup- tions," leading many fans to grumble at airlines and air- ports online. Others specu-
