Men Wanted For Fatal Nightclub Shooting Caught In Texas
Police Seek Help To Solve Deadly Gas Station Shooting In Temple Terrace

Police have arrested two men and charged them with a shooting at a local nightclub. The shooting left one man dead and 6 others injured.
After an extensive search and investigation, the Tampa Police Department were able to locate the men who had fled the state.
With the help of the U. S. Marshal’s Office Fugitive Task Force, Josue Clavel, 22, and Damaso Bravo, 32, were located and apprehended on Monday, October 24, 2022, hiding at a hotel in Brownsville, Texas, along with their girlfriends.
The group had $20,000 in cash on them at the time of the arrests.
In the early morning hours of October 9, 2022, Clavel and Bravo were involved in a physical altercation with a group of individuals inside the LIT Cigar and Martini Lounge, 908 N. Franklin St. Once out- side the nightclub, a gun was retrieved from a nearby vehicle, and Clavel and Bravo fired several shots, striking seven people and killing one. The deceased vic- tim, a 30-year-old man visiting the area from California for a wedding.
Tampa Police Chief Mary O’Connor said, “I cannot stress enough how members of

the Tampa Police Department have worked tirelessly around the clock to find those respon- sible and bring justice to these victims.”
Through the course of the investigation, Tampa Police detectives also identified Clavel and Bravo as mem- bers of the Latin Kings gang. An active investigation is ongo- ing as detectives work with au- thorities in Brownsville, Texas, to have the suspects extradited back to Tampa.

ship, to identify issues or trends facing each area of the city, and through these extra eyes on the streets, we’re able to identify problems faster and make potentially life-saving changes.” Chief O’Connor said.
The State Attorney’s Office 13th Judicial Circuit has up- graded the charges against Damaso Bravo from three counts of aggravated battery with a firearm to one count of pre-meditated first-degree murder and two counts of principal attempted first-de- gree murder. Bravo is also facing a charge of felon in pos- session of a firearm.
The charge for Josue Clavel remains as first-degree murder.
Both suspects are being held without bond and will be extradited from Brownsville, Texas, to Tampa.
On Monday, October 24, at approximately 10 p. m., the Temple Terrace Police Depart- ment responded to the 7-Star Gas Station, 7749 Temple Ter- race Hwy., in reference to a re- ported shooting.
Upon arrival, officers dis- covered two victims at the loca- tion. One victim was pronounced deceased on scene and the other victim was trans-
ported and treated for life- threatening wounds at Tampa General Hospital.
Police did not release any additional information about the shooting.
