No. 7 Pick Josh Allen Signs Rookie Deal With Jaguars
JOSH ALLEN
Josh Allen didn't prac- tice on Thursday, but he did sign his rookie contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars, the team announced.
The rookie pass rusher, who sat out Thursday's OTA as a precaution with a knee bruise, was the seventh over- all pick of the 2019 NFL Draft.
A physical force out of Kentucky, Allen's combine numbers were impressive, as the 6-foot-5, 262-pound edge ran a 4.63-second 40-yard dash.
Allen's signing leaves Jacksonville with just one 2019 selection -- third-round linebacker Quincy Williams -- left to be signed out of their seven-player class.

The Tampa Bay Bucca- neers made it official on Thursday: Ndamukong Suh is coming to Tampa Bay.
The team announced it has agreed to terms with the veteran defensive tackle.
Suh signed with the Bucs just three days after Tampa Bay parted ways with long- time defensive tackle Gerald McCoy. Both top-three de- fensive tackles from the 2010 draft, Suh is seen as an im- mediate on-field replace- ment for McCoy, but at a
cheaper rate.
While McCoy was owed
$13 million in 2019 and $39 million through 2021, Suh is signing a one-year, $9.25 million deal that, with incen- tives, can be worth up to $10 million, per NFL Network In- sider Ian Rapoport. ESPN first reported the terms.
All in all, the Bucs are sav- ing at least $3 million in cap space this season by swap- ping a 31-year-old All-Pro defensive tackle (McCoy) for a 32-year-old All-Pro defen- sive tackle (Suh).
In partnership with the Black College Football Hall of Fame, assistant and positional NFL and NCAA coaches have been invited to attend the 2019 NFL Quarterback Coach- ing Summit from June 24-25 in Atlanta, Georgia, as part of the League's commitment to strengthening the coaching and personnel development pipeline.
"As part of our ongoing ef- forts to develop a diverse pipeline of offensive coaches and personnel, the Quarter- back Coaching Summit is an opportunity for participants to further develop and perfect their proficiencies in game ad- ministration, offensive philos- ophy implementation and quarterback development," said Troy Vincent, NFL Ex- ecutive Vice President of Foot- ball Operations.
Announced today at the 2019 NFL Spring League Meeting, the summit aims to equip individuals working on the offensive side of the ball with resources, professional development and networking opportunities with NFL club representatives.
"We are excited to work with the NFL on the Quarter- back Coaching Summit, as well as open the lines of com- munication and exchange ideas on fundamentals and techniques required to coach
the QB position," said James "Shack" Harris, Black Col- lege Football Hall of Fame Co- Founder and 2012 Inductee. "The results should help par- ticipating coaches in college football and the NFL prepare for the opportunity to become head coach, offensive coordi- nator, quarterback coach, or offensive assistant."
The summit additionally features panels with NFL gen- eral managers and head coaches, including former Bal- timore Ravens general man- ager and current executive vice president Ozzie New- some, Philadelphia Eagles Executive Vice President of Football Operations Howie Roseman, Minnesota Vikings General Manager Rick Spielman, and Black College Football Hall of Fame Co-Founders James Harris and Doug Williams. Panels will focus on best practices for career advancement and their path to obtaining opportuni- ties in the NFL.

Cleveland Browns defen- sive end Myles Garrett be- lieves the defense is in a good spot without Gerald McCoy, but that's not stop- ping the Browns from bring- ing McCoy in.
Browns general manager John Dorsey later con- firmed a Friday visit with McCoy during a Thursday afternoon session with re- porters. McCoy has told teams interested in his serv- ices that he will first visit the Cleveland Browns. The Car- olina Panthers and Cincinnati Bengals are interested in meeting with McCoy.
The defensive tackle finds himself a wanted man after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers released him earlier last week, and for good reason.

ALEX REDMOND
The Cincinnati Bengals will start the season without guard Alex Redmond.
The NFL suspended Red- mond four games for violat- ing the league's performance-enhancing drug policy, the team announced Thursday.
Redmond, who started 15 games at right guard in 2018, recently re-signed a one-year deal to return to Cincinnati as an exclusive rights free agent.
The Bengals, though, are covered when considering the team signed guard John Miller to a three-year, $16.5 million deal during free agency. Miller is an upgrade over Redmond.

123 games and amassed 296 tackles, 54.5 sacks and 140 quarterback hits. Along the way, he was selected as a first-team All-Pro in 2013 and made six Pro Bowls.
If Dorsey believes McCoy is a good fit, the Browns have money to spend if they really want him. As of Thursday, the Browns sit on $33.3 million in available salary cap space.
Washington Redskins quarterback Alex Smith con- tinues his road to recovery from a gruesome broken right leg suffered in 2018.
But the rehabilitation process hasn't prevented him from stopping by the practice field to check out his team- mates putting in work during organized team activities.
The Redskins on Thursday tweeted photos of Smith on the field, including one with him preparing to throw a foot- ball.
The published photos are high with the legs out of the shots, so it is unclear if Smith is sporting an air cast or walk- ing boot, or wearing a protec-

tive sleeve on his surgically re- paired right leg.
Nevertheless, seeing Smith on the field supporting his teammates during OTAs certainly provides a feel-good moment when considering what he endured since suffer- ing the injury in Week 11 of the past season.
