Middleton Alumni Scholarship Gala Is Successful Event
Members of the Middleton High School Alumni Association are still basking in the suc- cess of their Scholarship Gala held last month.
The Miss Middleton, Homecoming Kings and Queens Scholarship Ball Weekend was held Fri- day and Saturday April 26-27, 2019 at
Marriott Hotel Westshore.
Phan Opeyi Boston (Class of 1965) was the Gala Chairperson, and Luvator Henry Nelson (Class of 1966) is President of the alumni associ- ation.
The Gala theme was Bridging the Gap: ‘A Royal Legacy.’ Entertainment for the event was provided by Tanya LaReese, Professional Songwriter, Singer and Recording Artist.
Program participants were: Jacqueline Dupree, Program Chairperson; Connie Ar- boleda, Mistress of Ceremony; Pastor Charles Hill, Invocation and Blessing of Food; Ms. Ar- boleda and Denese Meteye James, Intro- duction of Miss Middleton, Kings and Queens; Charles Simmons, Membership Challenge; Albertine Joyner, Chairperson, Passion Pro- duction Fashion Show; Mrs. Nelson, Class Recognition; and Mrs. Boston, remarks.
