Kevin Hart Won’t Host Academy Awards

Despite the efforts of former host Ellen DeGeneres, Kevin Hart will not reemerge as host of the 91st Academy Awards. While this situation is still fluid and he could possibly change his mind, this looks like his final answer.
Hart’s appearance on Ellen to promote his upcoming film The Upside rekindled hope when DeGeneres — whom sources said turned down the job awhile ago — urged Hart to host and made calls to the Academy.
Judge Rules Marvin Gaye Plagiarism Case Against Ed Sheeran Is Valid

The lawsuit in which Ed Sheeran has been accused of plagiarizing a classic Marvin Gaye song is moving forward. A U. S. district judge reportedly determined that there was enough substantial evidence in the case to send it to a jury for further evaluataion,
Sheeran has been accused of reworking Marvin Gaye's classic 1973 hit "Let's Get It On," for his 2014 single "Think- ing Out Loud." The judge re- portedly determined that there was "substantial similarities be- tween several of the two works’ musical elements." The judge also suggested that jurors "may be impressed by footage of a Sheeran performance which shows him seamlessly transi- tioning between [both songs]."
A jury will now have to de- termine whether Sheeran owes the Gaye estate and co- writer Ed Townsend (who initially filed the lawsuit) money. Townsend originally sued the pop singer for $100 million. A third-party estate who owns a percentage of Townsend's estate is also suing Sheeran for copyright infringement.

“Black-ish” stars Tracee Ellis Ross and Jennifer Lewis are reportedly at odds and often spar on set, accord- ing to a RadarOnline exclu- sive, which claims that at times, their war of words has even shut down production.

Sex Assault By Two More
Women, Denies Allegations
Two more women have come forward to accuse Extra co-host A. J. Calloway of sexual assault.
Last June, Sil Lai Abrams accused him of sex- ual assault during the height of the Me Too movement. But in the two recent claims, the women have chosen to remain anonymous out of fear of so- cial and professional backlash.
“I don’t want it to affect my future, everything that I’ve worked hard for—and A. J. is someone that would try to do that,” she said.

Funk legend Bootsy Collins is saying goodbye to performing live.
“Time has come for Me to tell all our Funkateers that I will Not be Playing Bass in Concerts anymore,” the 67- year-old musician announced on Facebook earlier this week.
The “Munchies for Your Love” bassist was quick to note that he’s not done with music, explaining that he still intends to record music and mentor young musicians.
“I have decided to become a Coach for up & coming Mu- sicians,” he wrote. “I know u r Disappointed just think for a moment how I feel. Doc said to much pressure on my Inner-Ear & Right Hand. Yeah, I had to make up my Mind so I did. 2019 Sheriff Ping Ping Ping will continue to Funk from the Studio but Not Live playing Bass on Stage.”
