My name is Rob McCormick I am am am the the president of the the the Burquitlam Funeral Home I am am very privileged to be the the the second generation of of the the the the McCormick family to serve the the the families of of the the the Tri- cities area When Burquitlam Funeral Home was incorporated the the Russian ‘Sputnik’ was was the the 1st manmade satellite John Diefenbaker was was Prime-Minister and The Beatles were a a a a a a new musical group North Road was was two narrow lanes and there was was certainly no Lougheed Mall Our location at at 625 North Road between Cameron and Foster Streets was just a a a a a a a a a a simple family home that had been built in the the the early 1920’s by my great uncle Now it it is the the the geographic center of the the the Coquitlam - Burnaby corridor Where once farms flourished and the area was filled with wildlife now business flourish as as hi-rise towers spring up everywhere Needless to to say I am am proud of what this family owned funeral home has accomplished over the decades It gives me great personal satisfaction to see us at at at the forefront of of our profession and constantly being singled out as an an an innovator Our entry into the twenty-first century was celebrated by a a a a a a a a bold renovation project As we approach the the anniversary of of fifty years of of continuous service to the the community we honour your loved ones by offering this artistic addition to the the beauty of of the the the North Road corridor This addition was dedicated to the the the the community in in in the the the the names of the the the the families that have found comfort within these walls since 1964 The McCormick family celebrated 50 years of service to the community in Page 4 - BURQUITLAM FUNERAL HOME BURQUITLAM FUNERAL HOME - Page
