Assisting All Jewish Families
Sinai Chapels is uniquely equipped to professionally assist all Jewish families, from the most meticulously halachically observant to the completely secular. We specialize in assisting families in creating a service that includes the observances and rituals most appropriate for them and their loved ones, whether in our chapels, at the graveside or in other locations.
No matter the level of religious observance of your family, our family has devoted four generations to offering services that are ceremonially correct, appropriate to the family and dignified in every detail.
Committed to the Jewish Community
We believe that a funeral service should help communicate the story of the life that has been lived, as well as to help the family begin to find some modicum of consolation. Your personal choices are very important to us. Our desire is to help you coordinate the most meaningful service possible for your loved one. Our pastoral
counselor, Rabbi Michael Strasberg, is available to all of our families to address any questions or concerns pertaining to the Jewish faith.
Our directors provide families with an array of additional services, including preplan agreements and visiting with families either at our chapels or in the comfort of their own home. We are also leaders in technology, offering live streaming of services to families in other cities and countries, monitors for slideshows of loved ones and we can provide flash drives or DVD recordings of services. In addition to the many services offered by Sinai Chapels, we also have an independent monument company, Sinai Memorials, with their showroom located in our facility.
The Resnick Family and Sinai Chapels are deeply committed to the Jewish Community. We proudly sponsor various events including the Queens College Annual Commemoration of Kristallnacht. We are proud members of the Queens Jewish Community Council, supporters of the United Jewish Appeal (UJA) Federation of New York, and support many other recognized Jewish charities and organizations, including the Kupferberg Holocaust Resource Center at Queensborough Community College.
