The History of LaSalle Park
LaSalle Park Pavilion was built in the spring of 1917 by the City of Hamilton. The unique outdoor pavilion was designed in an era when community entertainment was at its peak, the likes of which has seldom been seen since. It was the place to be, and holds special memories for many people. A devastating fire in May of 1995 destroyed the wood framed second floor of the building leaving only the shell of the pavilion standing. In 1997 the cherished historic site was rebuilt to its original 19th century architectural form, reviving the community landmark for the enjoyment of generations to come.
