for such internal processes like filtering urine, or digesting food. All of Becky’s internal organs were beginning to notice that oxygen-rich blood was being diverted to the extremities and that they were being short changed – a loss that could ultimately kill them.
Our bodies are complex organisms that communicate well. Urgent signals were sent by Becky’s blood-deficient organs to her brain screaming, “Hey we are dying down here!” And there sat Becky, with a true sense of impending death.
   What you need to notice here...
is that the symptoms you may experience as an anxiety attack, are more accurately described as the dependable outcome of having elevated cortisol levels in your body. It is the cortisol that causes all these symptoms. A simple cause and effect. Pump cortisol into your system, either by a syringe or amygdala release, and presto, you get an elevated heart rate, a sense of choking, tingly extremities, flushing, and even a sense of impending death.
