Considering its age the church building is in good condition. The main item of concern is the reliability of the elevator. It has required frequent and expensive maintenance and contains many parts that are no longer manufactured.
Projects completed in the last calendar year:
1. New projector screen for Parlor.
2. Repair of the elevator.
3. Replacement of the two forced-air furnaces that heat the Sanctuary with high efficiency
furnaces that do not require use of the failing building chimneys.
4. Repair of the thermostat wiring and heating zone valves for the Office and Chapel. Each
can now maintain its own temperature independently.
5. Installation of seven Google Nest thermostats. Each individual thermostat can now be
monitored and set remotely over the internet.
6. Installation of a low speed wireless network to support the Nest thermostats with Verizon
as provider.
7. Repair and painting of all exterior building wood trim including around doors and
windows.
8. Repair of slate roof and down spouting.
9. Painting of the Administrative Office to match that of the Co-Pastor’s office next door.
