Priest: Let us who mystically represent the Cherubim and who sing the thriceholy hymn to the lifecreating Trinity, now lay aside every care of this life. (three times)
Deacon: That we may receive the King of all invisibly upborne by the angelic hosts. Alleluia. Alleluia. Alleluia. (three times)
The Great Entrance
The Priest and Deacon go before the Holy Sacrifice table; they take the Discos and the Chalice and exit through the northern doors, preceded by candles. Then the Great Entrance takes place, wherein the bishop, clergy, the founders, benefactors of the parish, and faithful are commemorated:
Priest: May the Lord God remember you all in His Kingdom, now and forever and to the ages of ages.
People: Amen.
The Priest and Deacon enter the sanctuary, while the people
complete the Cherubic Hymn.
People: That we may receive the King of all invisibly upborne
by the angelic hosts. Alleluia. Alleluia. Alleluia.
After placing the holy Gifts on the holy Table, (receiving the Discos from the Deacon) the Priest says: “The Noble Joseph...; In the grave bodily...; Bearing life and more fruitful than paradise...; Do good to Sion...”
Taking the censer, the Priest says:
Remember me, my brother and fellow celebrant.
Deacon: May the Lord God remember your priesthood in his Kingdom, always, now and forever, and to the ages of ages.
Deacon: Pray for me, holy Master.
Priest: The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.
Deacon: The Spirit himself will concelebrate with us all the days of our life. Remember me, holy Master.
Priest: May the Lord God remember you in his Kingdom,
always, now and forever, and to the ages of ages.
Deacon: Amen.
