Traditional polyfill batting requires thick, uncomfortable layers
to achieve maximum thermal protection from the cold.
UTK SubDownTM fibers mimic
the physical dimensions of down and are blown into the garment channels just like down. The result is a lightweight lofty fill with more air pockets and the thermal retention of 600 fill down.
UTK SubDownTM is the ideal in “warmth without weight” insulated garments.
UTK HydropelTM technology adds superior water-repellent functionality to fabrics.
North End® utilizes UTK HydropelTM technology in many ways, including seam-sealed waterproof garments for severe wet weather conditions, water-resistant fabrications with a built-in membrane for enhanced wind protection, or a simple DWR (durable water repellent) finish on a lightweight shell.
