On 23 July 2024, at the Cologne meeting room, 8th floor, the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT)
2. Issuance of a Public Aerodrome Operating Certificate to Phuket Airport and Hat Yai Airport On 25 September 2024, at the Cairo meeting room, 9th floor, the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT)
3. Issuance of a Public Aerodrome Operating Certificate to Surat Thani Airport
On 18 November 2024, at the Cairo meeting room, 9th floor, the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT)

the Public Aerodrome Re-Certification to the previously certified public aerodromes. Furthermore, AOT which was granted the Public Aerodrome Operating Certificate by Department of Civil Aviation on 13 January 2015 for the operation of Phuket Airport and Hat Yai Airport, must undergo the re-certification process in accordance with the CAAT announcement on Public Aerodrome Re-certification, B.E. 2563 (2020).
Issuance of a Public Aerodrome Operating Certificate to Surat Thani Airport
The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), represented by Director General Mr. Suttipong Kongpool, has issued the Public Aerodrome Operating Certificate to Department of Airports (DOA), the operator of Surat Thani Airport. The certificate was received by Danai Ruangsorn, Director General of DOA, along with other representatives. The aerodrome certification process for Surat Thani Airport was conducted in accordance with Section 45 of Emergency Decree to amend Air Navigation Act, B.E. 2497 (1954), B.E. 2558 (2015), which specifies that the public aerodromes operated by government agencies can continue operation until they are inspected by CAAT. Once found to be compliant with the aerodrome standards, CAAT will issue the Public Aerodrome Operating Certificate.
