diagnostic tool which can supply unique information
• More attention to manual microscopy thanks to automated instruments which reduce the everyday workload
• Improvement of the automated instruments (= a better identification of casts, transitional & renal tubular epithelial cells & fatty elements)
• Introduction in everyday practice of new techniques such as urinary evaluation of DNA and RNA expression, microsatellite analysis,etc.
