• RBC CASTS:
Always in low numbers (1-3/50 lpfs; 1 cast: 4; 2 casts : 1;
3 casts: 1)
In 5/6 samples associated with glomerular haematuria
In 1/6 samples the only particle suggesting a glomerular bleeding
• TRANSIENT NON GLOMERULAR HAEMATURIA
Found in 8 samples from 4 patients (1 of 2; 1 of 3; 3 of 6; 2 of 8) Dysmorphic RBCs: 14%-28% (21.3 ± 5.9; 22)
Acanthocytes: 0-4% (1.8 ± 1.8; 1.5)
No association between the number of RBCs/HPF and the presence or absence of glomerular haematuria
No explanation for non transient glomerular haematuria in such samples
