CONCLUSIONS
• Cytodiagnosis is a valuable addition to the many laboratory tests and to plain urinalysis in the diagnosis of ATN
• It is an inexpensive & noninvasive test, the result is quickly available, and it contributes important information also regarding the prognosis of the patient
• However, due to many overlapping results it is NOT an absolute test
