                                                                                                                                      The journey to becoming an educator has been less than traditional for me. I am a second generation educator

                                                                                                                               do. That kind of professional clarity was not blessed upon me at the ripe old age of 18. As a college student, I jumped
                                                                                                                               from major to major  before finally nestling into the world of Studio Art, where I found a niche in which I felt suc-

                                                                                                                               to go work with the residents, and I found encouragement in their delight. When a communication breakthrough
