Allen High Noon “STEPS IT UP” With Change
The Allen High Noon Lions Club welcomed two new members recently – Lion Jake Hansen and Lion Catherine Milian. The Club decided to step up its meeting game in boosting attendance and membership. Starting in July, the Club began trying out new locations for its meeting. In August, the Club will meet at Noon at the Top Golf located at 1500 Andrews Parkway in Allen. Our meetings this month will feature great programs. On August 8, the Allen Americans Professional
Hockey Team will join us to speak about their upcoming season and ways they give back to community. On August 23rd, Author Richard Cavaness will attend to speak about his book, “The Gratitude Effect: Shift Your Mindset, Optimize Your Outcomes, and Boost Emotional Well-Being.” We look forward to seeing you soon.
Coppell Lions Club Celebrates with One of its Own
Members of the Coppell Lions Club attended the Korean American Coalition banquet in support of Coppell Lion John Jun who was president this past year. The Awareness Banquet is one of KAC DFW Chapter's signature
events. It brings together members of the Korean American community and those in the wider American community to gather together and celebrate the organization's civic accomplishments done throughout the year.

2018 Spot Vision Screener Training and Certification

District 2-X1 and Oak Cliff Lions sponsored a Spot Vision Training workshop on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018 at Volunteer Now, downtown Dallas from 10 AM to noon. The workshop was being held to fulfill the demands of certified Spot Vision screeners for our District’s Vision projects, especially the Pre-Truancy Vision Screening Program, chaired by Lion PDG Wayne Meachum (Contnued next page)
