Global Service Team
One year ago, International President Dr. Naresh Aggarwal challenged Lions across the world to serve over 100 million people in our 100th year. Because of the hearts of Lions, we have DOUBLED that amount! Over 200 million lives have been impacted because
of our service. The hope of the leadership in Texas was to have at least 50% of the clubs in each district complete the Centennial Challenge. Because of the leadership of DG Henry White and the 2-X1 leadership team, District 2-X1 has led the way with
over 75% of our clubs completing the challenge! (those not completing the challenge are still doing great services in their own communities) Your sacrifices are acknowledge and
appreciated!
We are happy to welcome Lion Tom McCallister and PDG Julia Johnson to the GST Team. We are excited about the potential we have for our next Lions' year. We have more potential now than ever before! If you need extra volunteers for a service project, please let the GS Team know.

  OVER 240 MILLION SERVED
This will be my last communique as a Centennial Coordinator. It was an honor to serve as your district coordinator for 2014-2018. I tried to keep you all abreast about centennial happenings and you responded well. I would like to thank all clubs for participating in the service and membership challenges. I am really proud of our result.
The centennial work officially ends June 30th, and now that we have set the bar high, we need to maintain it and even try to exceed it. We have finished strong. This year we have 53 clubs out of 57 participating. Our primary mission is to serve and we have clearly demonstrated that.
The Service Challenge
The District 2-X1 has 53 clubs out of 57 (92% participating in campaign service projects.. Following clubs have not reported any activity for this year. Allen High Noon, Dallas Trinity Industrial, Irving Everest Centennial and Rockwall. Please report any service activity performed to be recognized. The district has recycled over 6000 eyeglasses.
