Date & Venue: 2-X1 District Convention will be held in Carrollton on April 27 & 28, 2018 (Friday & Saturday) at Courtyard Marriott Hotel, 1201 Raiford Road, Carrollton, Texas 75007 (Phone: 972-446-0001).
Convention activities will begin from 5:00 PM on Friday and will end with the Banquet on Saturday night. The two day convention will be full of fellowship, fun and activities including the election of the new District Governor, 1st & 2nd Vice District Governors and several Directors for various organizations supported and/or sponsored by District 2-X1. All attendees at the District Convention must register; registration form is available separately. A very special rate has been negotiated with the Convention Hotel to bring down the package rate to the minimum possible.
Hotel Room: Room Rate is $99 per night (with one King bed or two queen beds for single or double occupancy) and INCLUDES hot buffet-breakfast for up to two guests of the room. Only a limited number of rooms are available for the first-come-first-served; and the deadline for this special low rate is April 12, 2018.
Registration: For the convention, an “early bird” package is available for $90 to include registration and three meals of Friday night BBQ, Saturday’s Italian Lunch and Grassroots Lions Banquet. The ‘early bird’ rates will end on 31 March 2018. The “regular” rates will be applicable from April 1 to 20; “walk-ins” will be accepted from April 21 on the basis of availability. The payment with the registration-form is appreciated; however your earliest possible commitment will be honored with late payment on or before the convention.
Grassroots Lions: Nomination form is available separately. Advance reservation must be made for the nominee for the Grassroots Lions Banquet; walk-ins NOT accepted; event-attendance WITHOUT MEAL NOT PERMITTED to comply with the hotel requirements.
