Although the Gymnastic Team lost three meets out of five, the team was dedicated and worked hard. Roxanne Brown, the most valu able gymnast placed first seven times, second eight times, and third five times within only five meets. As Coach Helen Sjursen pointed out, “ Roxanne Brown has natural talent for gymnastics and Olympic potential if she pur sued gymnastics seriously.’’ Ellen Hicks re ceived Coaches Awards because she was an excellent spotter, teacher, competitor, be sides being, “ unselfish, cooperative, patient and pleasant. It is rare that a single student has all these important qualities at the same time.’’
