The versatility of the Drama Club was reinforced by the contrast of this year’s productions. The first play was a farce by Christopher Sergei while the second was the sobering Diary of Anne Frank which was presented in the Spring.
Sergei’s comedy, The Mouse That Roared centered around the comical but successful effort of a handful of men, using weapons of the fourteenth century, to invade the United States.
Under the skillful direction of Mr. Alexander McDougall, the cast of 29 played to record houses. One member remarked, “ I feel that the club al lows students to get to know each other much better. It’s a fun atmosphere.”
The Diary of Anne Frank described the life of two Jewish families hiding from the Nazis in World War II Amsterdam.
