This year's varsity swim team opened their season by winning the W-H relay carnival, and, since then, they have won two tri-m eets.
Last season the Rams were capable of filling all the weight classes. However, this year's squad cannot.
Coached by Thomas Mericle, the team crushed St. Benidict's and Ranney, and Hun and Rutgers Prep in two tri-m eets.
"Coach Mericle is constantly changing our lineups. He carefully examines our times and those of our opponents in order to create the best lineup possible," said Brown.
"We have 23 swimmers this year, which is almost double the size of last year's team. We more than made up for the loss of three seniors," continued Brown.
The team began the season in custom­ ary fashion, with "Midnight Madness." They dived into the pool for practice at 12:01 am on the day that the winter sea­ son started.
