 Acknowledgments
The task of creating a yearbook is a long and complex job. The many facets of production — layout, copywriting, photography, and advertising — could not be executed without the earnest efforts of a skilled staff.
The spirit of vitality in our new school was evident in the zealous workers who put together this year’s book. In appreciation of all they have done, we, the editors cf the 1970 Maroon and Gold, wish to express our sincere thanks.
The backbone of all Wardlaw publications, Adviser Lewis B. Timberlake, again assumed the formidable task of typing, editing, and organizing the yearbook material. His tireless imagination has saved the M&G from many minor crises. Also working hard as a junior editor, Peter S. Brower proved himself an apt candidate for next year’s editorship.
E. William Akerlund and Gary J. Hill, the latter new to the staff, worked long overtime hours to produce photography and did an admirable job.
An important aspect of any yearbook, the advertising section was consummately handled by Bruce A. Shear.
Bookkeeping duties were again performed by Ernest G. Cole and next year’s business manager, Charles H. Streib.
A special word of gratitude goes to Mr. Fred Olson, our publisher, for the ef forts he contributed to both the photographv and the production of the book. We also thank Miss Susan K. Clark, who assisted with copy proofing.
Last but not least, we are grateful to the parents, the patrons, the advertisers, and the Wardlaw administration, all of whom have made the 1970 Maroon and Gold
Denis G. Quinlan
possible.
