This year’s Beacon was one of the, most successful in recent memory. Headed by three senior editors (Jer ry Casagrande and Leslie Caspar su pervising the newspages and Roger W ood the sports) the Beacon fea tured important school news, inter esting feature stories about students and teachers, and insightful editori als. Editors Casagrande and W ood wrote widely-read columns in which they discussed whatever they felt was interesting.
The Beacon had an excellent staff including veteran journalist Bob Sa- daty, infam ous for his accurate por trayals of the sports world. M ike Lim was another ace reporter, as was Charlie LeGrand.
