Girls’ Varsity Tennis
This year the Girls’Varsity Tennis Team (8-5) was led hy two freshmen — Laura Malfitano and Marissa Velasco. With only one senior (Meighan Connely) and threejuniors, this was a rebuilding year. Kathy Shutello, the talented sophomore, was awarded the Most Improved Player Award. The smooth Kim Salamone was given the Coaches’Award; the M.V.P. went to the very aggressive Laura Malfitano. With so many good young players. Coach Lehner is looking forward to a prom ising and productive future.
