This year swimming became a noticeable sport at Ward- law-Hartridge. The team finished with a record of 17-2. The Swim Team won the Prep League Championships and the States. The boys came in second in the County Champion­ ships and the girls came in sixth.
The highlights of the season were records broken by Ann Wyman and John Gatti and the girls’ relay team of Ann Wyman, Maureen Kinney, Darice Rose and Betsy Moody and the boys’ relay team of John Gatti, Tom Murray, Kevin Swenson and David Lomnitz.
