SOCIAL
"All work and no play . . certainly does not apply to Wardlaw, where dances and social events are recognized as an integral part of "growing up". The Senior Student Council sponsored all the dances but were assisted unsparingly by the Mothers' Associa tion at Christmas and Commencement time. A large part of the success of these affairs was due to Dave Jeppesen, chairman of the decoration committee, who devised such various motifs as "Autumn Scene", "Balloon Evening", and "Spring at Wardlaw". The Christmas Dance, a "Winter Spectacle", was an unusual success, partly because the music was provided by professional musicians in stead of the "pop" records used at all the informal gatherings.
