Headmaster Dedicated to Better School
Headmaster Prentice C. Horne
Miss Sally Cross Horne became the bride of Army Lt. Henry Collier Conitlin in July, 1968. Mr. and Mrs. Horne stand proudly and stylishly on either side of their daughter on her wedding day.
Now in his tenth year at Wardlaw, Headmaster Prentice C. Horne has consistently dedicated him self to making a better school. Since his arrival in 1959, Mr. Horne has been the guiding hand as Wardlaw has moved forward. He is an administra tor, an adviser, and a personal friend to every stu dent and teacher here.
Mr. and Mrs. Horne make their home at 130 Rockview Avenue, North Plainfield, and are the parents of four children, two of whom are away at college—Sally, at Wilson College, Chambers- burg, Pennsylvania, where she is majoring in fine arts, and Jed, a former Wardlaw student, who attends Harvard University, Cambridge, Massa chusetts, where his major is American studies.
Carol and Jimmy, the two younger Hornes, are students at Hartridge and Wardlaw respectively.
The Hornes spend their leisure time at their second home in New London, New Hampshire, which they enjoy in both summer and winter.
The entire school—and especially the Class of 1969—owes a large debt of gratitude to Mr. Horne
for all he has done.
