School Stands on Threshold
The 1969 Maroon and Gold is a very special edition because it records events of an exciting year for the Wardlaw Country Day School.
The school in 1969 stood on the threshold of an expanded and better life. The new school on Inman Avenue was close to completion, and athletic fields there had been in use for almost two years. Through the doors of the new school, Wardlaw students looked forward with eagerness to the fu ture. The 1968-1969 academic year had been a bustling one of planning and preparation for the time when Wardlaw would cross a significant thres hold into the future. Opening doors ahead were promising.
At the end of this year, the staff of the Maroon and Gold hopes that you will take a little time from looking forward to cast a reminiscent glance backward—back through other doors to experiences and relationships you have formed and shared in the past. We hope that this yearbook will keep memories alive as you cross the threshold into the bright days ahead.
