The Hartridge Alumnae
For the first time in several years the “old girls” of the Hartridge School gathered from far and near to attend a revival of the annual luncheon of the Hartridge League. The luncheon was arranged by a committee consisting of Mary Warren, Keyo Tetsuka, Helen Lounsbery and Louise Patterson. It was decidedly a success, and has been rein stated as an annual function of the Hartridge League. The luncheon was held in the Yacht Room of the Astor Hotel, and Miss Hartridge, Miss
Mapelsden and about thirty-five of the alumnae were present. Several poems, written by Adele De Leeuw, our successful poetess, which had been previously published in the “ Conning Tower” , “ Bookman” and “ At lantic Monthly” , were read by Miss Hartridge, much to the enjoyment of the admiring audience.

Hartridge School. The object of this fund is to give to girls who need the help the advantages and training of our school, which, as we know, is unequalled by any other in the country.
The Hartridge League members were very much interested in the fund, and all of them desire to extend to some girl those advantages they enjoyed while under Miss Hartridge’s training. It is left to Miss Hart- ridge’s discretion to select the girl eligible for the scholarship, and no one of the alumnae will know who she is.
By pledges the League received $130 toward the fund. One pledge
was for $25, and eighteen girls have promised to pay $5 each before June
first.
In February the League, through a committee consisting of Keyo
Tetsuka, Elizabeth Burke, Mrs. McCarter, Helen Lounsbery, Kate
