We Honor Mr. Robert Paoli As An
Outstanding Teacher
Mr. Robert Paoli is a man of many talents who is dedicated to bringing out the best potentials in students. As English teacher, he emphasizes the fundamentals of the the language and strives to eliminate the weaknesses of every student. Accordingly, Mr. Paoli has taken the time to tutor those students who need extra help.
Under his guidance, the Beacon has grown and has won a number of awards over the years. In order to bring out the journalistic abilities of perspective Beacon writers, he conducts a journalism course. Mr. Paoli never fails to implement the annual recommendations of the Quill and Scroll, an evaluating service of school newspapers. Those who have worked with Mr. Paoli can only admire the way he can keep his his cool— especially with a dead line to meet every month.
Another extracurricular activity in which Mr. Paoli has demonstrated his interest in more extensive student participation has been Chess. While he was the advisor of the chess team, which competed against other schools, he also organized a chess club for those not proficient enough to make the team but enjoyed playing the game. Mr. Paoli is also talented in music. An accomplished violinist, he has played as part of an ensemble for the Christmas concerts.
For all these achievements, we are proud to dedicate this Maroon and Gold to Mr. Paoli.
