Spurred on by cheers like “ ‘Go Norton Go” and “Do it Soup” the Varsity Hoopsters compiled another fantastic season, losing only 5 times in 23 games. Mr. Kovonuk was surprised at the bebinning of the season when he realised he had a new dimension to work with: HEIGHT! Three starters were over
six-two.
The highlight of this season was
a 105-65 victory over Morristown- Beard in which seven players scored over ten points. Although the team lost to Princeton Day School in the semi-finals of the states it was one of the most succesful Wardlaw basketball seasons ever
