SPORTS
This year we have all been very active in sports. There was great enthusiasm over the class hockey championship, which was finally won by the plucky Third Academic team, who literally walked over us all. As you will see by the following paragraphs, the varsity team made two very valiant efforts, playing hard and furiously all the time. The Green team
vanquished the Whites in a very desperate match.
Up to this time neither the Varsity nor the Green and White basket­
ball teams have gone into action. The Fifth Academic won the champion­ ship again, but this year they had to fight those Threes very hard. Here’s luck to them in the future.
Field Day and the Florse Show will take place in May, and in the meantime we are all very busy on the new tennis backboard, and on the wonderful outdoor platform that the parents gave to us. We play basket­ ball, tennis and deck-tennis on it, and are all very grateful for the gift.
