THE ATTIC
Up the dark and winding stairs went their eager little feet To the dusky, spacious attic, their favorite retreat.
It was there they met King Arthur and his knights in armor bright. And, disguised as mighty warriors, fought many a bloody fight.
It was there that great explorers sailed to seas unknown before,
And Sherlock Holmes and Watson solved mysteries by the score.
There, too, they wished that they could be great tall and handsome men. But now that they have reached that goal, they wish to be young again.
Miss H.: *Tor whom are you knitting that, Lucy?”
Lucy (knitting tiny garments); 'Tor little Willie, Miss Hartridge.” Miss H.: "What’s little Willie’s last name?”
Lucy; "Way, Miss Hartridge.”
Miss H.; "Oh, I see—Willie on the way.”
