1985 was one of the busiest years yet for musical director Frederick Fischer. This was due to the formation of three new singing groups: the eighth, ninth and tenth grade choruses. This year was also the premier of four musical groups formed from the four very talented voice classes. Mr. Fischer was able to select every type of music from Bossa Nova to Rock for his musical groups, in addition to providing easy listening songs for the enjoyment of the older music lovers.
Varsity Singers
Each year a select few are chosen on the basis of tryouts to experience
the life of a varsity singer. As a varsity singer, one enjoys the pleasure of early morning rehearsals (eight o'clock early morning, that is) but this is compensated for by the thrill of performing one’s own selections in both the winter and spring concerts.
