 Girls' Field Hockey
Although the field hockey tea ended the sea son with a disappointing record (1-10-3), there were a few encouraging notes. For example, the two best played games were the tie against South Plainfield at Homecoming and the 2-1 loss to Morristown-Beard in the State Tournament game. In the game against top-ranked South Plainfield, the Rams frustrated their opponents time and again with their outstanding defensive play. The State Tournament game was memora ble in avenging an earlier defeat by scoring the

first goal and sending the Morristown-Beard team into a panic.
Outstanding careers were capped off this sea son by Valerie Pate who ended third in career scoring, and by Camille Henry who ended sec ond in career saves.
