This wrestling season was marked by an inter esting combination of hopes, dreams, frustra tions and near-misses. With ten seniors on the most numerous squad in seven years, the team was poised for a solid dual meet season and a run at several tournament titles. The potential and promise went largely unfulfilled as the team fin ished with a 5-7-1 record and an agonizingly close second-lace finish in the B Division of the state tournament.
Untimely injuries, illnesses and adversity pre vented the Rams, led by co-captains Jason Kidd
and Vick Sarkaria, from achieving the goals set on the first day of practice in november. In the ensuing tournaments Ram wrestlers earned six top-four places (and a fifth place finish) at the Hun Tournament, nine top four finishes (and a second place finish) at the Prep Conference, and four finishes at the state tournament. Highlights o f the latter performance included Jason Kidd's silver medal, Avraam Odysseos' third place bronze, and the fourth place finishes by Greg Sturcke and John Sollaccio. Congratulations on a fine effort!
