Despite the fact that a headmaster must continue to combine the wisdom of Solomon, the wit of Wilde, the stamina of a Stakhanovite, the probity and moral scrupulosity of Henry James, Immanuel Kant and your favorite New England
maiden aunt, be all things to all men whilst remaining his own man, Mr. Ayres has not only settled into his second year but seems extremely
happy in his work, even observing one of the school colors in his choice of slacks!

The headmaster has always played a central role in giving the school its particular character, and Mr. Ayres is no exception. We Seniors are extremely grateful for all he has done for us and the school, and wish him God-speed in his work.
