Discussing Catcher in the Rye with M r. Paoli, memorizing the prologue to the Canterbury Tales for Mr. Wyatt, and writing a research paper with Dr. Berry, are just a few of the memorable projects you encounter while studying English at W -H. “This country is suffering from language pollution and we have statistics that reading is declining - we're trying to do our small part in fighting these unfortunate tendencies," said Mr. Paoli. In line with this purpose, from 7th Grade onward, the English Department teaches students strong writing skills and
imparts the importance of analytical, insightful reading.
